恐怖や不安、離したくない気持ちから、何かを手でしっかり握ること。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
恐怖や安心した時など、強い感情と共に何かを手で強く握る時に使う。'clutching her bag'は「バッグをしっかり握っている」という意味で使われる。 'clutching at straws'は必死の頼みの意味。
