「クラッチズ」は強い支配や危険な状況でのコントロールを表します。また、自動車のパワー伝達をコントロールする装置を指すこともあります。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
「in the clutches of」は悪いものの支配下という意味でよく使います。車の意味は技術用語です。「クラッチバッグ」とは異なります。
