塊血栓

Definition

液体、特に血液が固まり、流れが止まった時にできる塊や血栓です。多くは止血のために血液が固まることです。

主に医療用語で使われ、「血の塊（血栓）」が一般的。動詞として「固まる」という意味もある。「clog（詰まる）」とは区別すること。

A clot stopped the bleeding from his cut.
