Definition

家の中で洋服や靴などをしまうための、小さくて扉の付いた収納スペース。主に壁に作り付けになっています。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

洋服やコートなどの収納でよく使われます。「bedroom closet」「walk-in closet」のように表現します。イギリス英語では「wardrobe」「cupboard」と呼ぶことが多いです。「in the closet」は自分の正体を隠しているという意味の表現です。
