'Clinging' pode descrever alguém agarrado fisicamente (criança agarrada à mãe) ou dependente emocionalmente (amigo pegajoso). Pode ter tom negativo, indicando apego em excesso. Muito comum com 'to': 'clinging to hope', 'clinging to his mother'.
