聖職者とは、教会や他の宗教施設で宗教的な役職や仕事を持つ人のことです。例えば、神父や牧師などが含まれます。

「聖職者」はフォーマルや文学的に使われることが多く、日常会話ではあまり使われません。キリスト教以外の宗教関係者にも使うことができます。「クラーク（事務員）」や特定の呼称（例: 牧師）と混同しないようにしましょう。
