Definition

アサリは砂や泥の中に住む、2枚貝の食用貝です。アメリカ英語では俗語でお金の意味もあります。

食用時は通常複数形で使います。有名な言い方は「アサリを掘る」「アサリを蒸す」など。お金の意味は主にアメリカ英語のスラングです。牡蠣（カキ）やムール貝（ムール貝）と区別されます。
