円周とは、円や曲線の形の外側を一周した長さのことです。

主に数学や理科で使われ、円や曲線の外側だけに使います。四角形など直線が多い図形には「周（しゅう、perimeter）」を使います。『円周を求める』『円の円周』などでよく使います。

The circumference of the circle is 10 centimeters.
