Definition

シュートは、重力を利用して物を下へすばやく移動させる斜めの管や通路です。洗濯物シュートや滑り台などがあります。非公式にパラシュートの略語としても使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「chute」は“laundry chute”, “playground chute”, “mail chute”, “trash chute”などを指します。「shoot」とは音が似ていますが意味が異なります。会話では「パラシュート」の略としても使います。
