Definition

চুট হলো ঢালু পাইপ বা টানেল যেটি দ্বারা কোনও জিনিস দ্রুত নিচে নামানো হয়, যেমন কাপড়ের চুট বা খেলার মাঠের স্লাইড। কখনো কখনো এর অর্থ প্যারাস্যুটের সংক্ষিপ্ত রূপও হতে পারে।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

Laundry chute, playground chute, mail chute, বা trash chute বলতে আলাদা বোঝানো হয়; ‘চুট’ এবং ‘শুট’ (গুলিবর্ষণ) আলাদা শব্দ। সামরিক বা স্কাইডাইভিং-এ ‘চুট’ মানে ‘প্যারাস্যুট’ বলতে পারে।
