物を素早くまたは気軽に投げること。また、何かをやめたり捨てたりすることにも使います。

カジュアルな表現で、友達同士など親しい間柄で使います。「chuck something at/in/on」や「chuck away/out」などのパターンでよく使われ、「仕事を辞める」場合もインフォーマルです。
