年代記とは出来事を起きた順に記録した文書や記録のことです。動詞としては出来事を詳しく記録することも指します。

「chronicle」はフォーマルな歴史的・記録的文脈で使われます。フィクションには通常使いません。「生活をchronicleする」「出来事をchronicleする」という形で使われます。
