Definition

칼 등으로 재료를 크게, 일정하지 않게 잘게 썬 상태를 말하며, 주로 요리 준비 과정에서 사용된다.

주로 요리법에서 사용하며, ‘chopped onions’, ‘chopped vegetables’ 같이 쓴다. 고르게 잘게 다진(diced/minced) 것보다는 크고 불규칙한 조각을 의미한다.
