"children" in Japanese

Definition

「子供」の複数形で、まだ大人になっていない複数の若い人を指します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

人間に対してのみ使います。単数は「child」です。「children」は必ず複数形で使い、「s」はつきません。動物には使いません。

Examples

The children are playing in the park.

**子供たち**が公園で遊んでいる。

The school has 300 children.

その学校には**子供たち**が300人います。

Parents love their children.

親は自分の**子供たち**を愛しています。

All the children started laughing at the joke.
