鶏は卵や肉のために農場で飼われることが多い鳥です。通常は生きている複数の鶏を指します。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
「a chicken」は一羽、「chickens」は複数羽の鶏を指します。通常「chickens」は生きている鶏を意味し、肉としては単数形「chicken」が使われます。スラングで「臆病者」を意味することもありますが、別の用法です。
