貧しい人や困っている人たちを助けるために、寄付などを集めて活動している団体のことです。

複数の団体について話すときによく使います。「charitiesを支援する」「charitiesに寄付する」のような使い方が多いです。個人による慈善行為ではなく、組織を指します。
