チャペルは、学校や病院、空港、大きな教会の中などにある小さなキリスト教の礼拝堂です。祈りや宗教行事のための小さな建物のことも指します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

チャペルは通常「教会」よりも小さく、よりプライベートな空間です。「スクールチャペル」「ホスピタルチャペル」「ウェディングチャペル」などの表現で使います。公共施設では特定の宗派に属さない場合もあります。
