Definition

一定のリズムやメロディーで、言葉やフレーズを繰り返し声に出すこと。宗教儀式やデモ、スポーツの応援などでよく使われる。

'chanting' は歌う（sing）よりもリズムや繰り返しに重点がある。宗教（'chanting prayers'）やデモ（'chanting slogans'）など、集団で声を合わせる時によく使われる。
