メイドや客室係は、ホテルや大きな家で寝室やバスルームの掃除、ベッドメイキングをする女性スタッフです。

現代のホテルでは「ルームアテンダント」や「ハウスキーパー」が一般的に使われます。「chambermaid」は伝統的・歴史的な言い方で、女性スタッフに限定されます。主に客室清掃員に使われます。
