Definition

椅子は、一人が座るための家具で、座面、脚、背もたれがあります。「椅子」は「chair」の複数形です。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

一つは「椅子」、複数は「椅子（いす）」と表現します。『ダイニングチェア』『オフィスチェア』『折りたたみ椅子』などと合わせて使います。「会議の議長（chairperson）」の意味とは異なります。
