Definition

何かが起きる理由やきっかけを表します。また、誰かが支援する理念や目的のことも指します。

フォーマル・インフォーマルどちらでも使われます。「cause of the accident」「charity cause」などの表現がよく使われます。「because」とは意味が違うので注意してください。
