映画や舞台で俳優を選ぶ作業、または金属などを型に流し込んで形を作る工程のことです。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
「casting director」は配役担当者、「casting call」はオーディション募集。「casting」は俳優全体（cast）を指さない。工業では「鋳造」として使う。
