‘Cares’ 是 ‘care’ 的第三人称单数形式。它表示关心、在乎某人或某事，也可以表示照顾某人。

常和 'about' 连用，如 'She cares about her family'，表示关心、在乎；和 'for' 连用时常表示照顾，如 'He cares for his father'。否定形式 'doesn't care' 通常表示不在意，不一定是冷酷。
