予定されていたイベントやサービスを中止すること、またはそれが行われなくなること。例えば会議やフライト、予約のキャンセルなど。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

サービスやイベントに使われるフォーマルな名詞です（例：'flight cancellation', 'cancellation fee'）。チケット、予約、サブスクリプションに多く使われます。「人」には使いません。「delay（遅延）」とは違い、全く行われないことを意味します。
