大学や高校、時には企業が持つ敷地や建物全体のこと。人々が勉強したり働いたり生活するエリアを指します。

主に大学や短大の敷地を指し、'on campus'や'campus life'など特定の表現で使われます。施設そのものではなく、物理的な場所を意味します。
