時間をかけて何かが徐々に増えたり集まったりすること。例えば、汚れや圧力、興奮など、物理的なものや感情にも使います。

'buildup'は名詞として使うことが多いです。「a buildup of traffic」「calcium buildup」「tension buildup」などの表現があります。良い意味（興奮など）にも悪い意味（汚れやストレスなど）にも使います。動詞の'build up'とは区別してください。
