呼吸するときに肺に出入りする空気のこと、または一度の吸う・吐く動作。努力の後の短い休憩にも使われることがある。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

'breath'（息）は名詞で、『息をする』（breathe）は動詞。'take a deep breath' や 'out of breath' などのフレーズでよく使う。'breath' は一回分の「息」を表すことが多い。
