Merujuk pada sesuatu yang memiliki merek terkenal atau seseorang/sesuatu yang diberi cap atau label, sering kali bermakna negatif.

'Bermerek' biasanya untuk produk. 'Dicap' digunakan kalau orang atau benda mendapat label negatif.
