Definition
Brake 指用來讓車輛或機器減速或停止的裝置。作動詞時，表示使用這個裝置來減速或停下。

這個詞最常用於汽車和自行車：'hit the brake(s)'、'slam on the brakes'、'brake pedal'。日常英語裡，說汽車的制動系統時常用複數 'the brakes'。不要和 'break' 混淆。
