Definition

従業員や他の人に、成果や特別な機会に応じて支給される追加のお金や特典のことです。

主にビジネスや職場で使われ、お金が多いですが特典も含みます。「year-end bonuses」「performance bonuses」などの表現によく使います。「raise」（昇給）とは異なります。

The company gives bonuses to workers at the end of the year.

会社は年末に従業員に**ボーナス**を支給します。
