Definition

大人經常用來嚇小孩的虛構怪物；也可泛指人們沒明顯理由而害怕的事物。

常見於家庭或故事裡，嚇不聽話的小孩。現代有時指無根據的疑慮或恐懼。不正式，平常用語較多。

The parents told their son the bogeyman would come if he didn't go to bed.
