Definition

إخراج الهواء من الفم أو تحرك بسبب الرياح؛ أيضاً تعني ضربة مفاجئة جسدية أو صدمة عاطفية.

يستخدم 'blow' كفعل أو اسم. كفعل: 'blow out candles' (ينفخ الشموع)، 'the wind blows' (الرياح تهب). كاسم: 'a blow to the head' (ضربة للرأس) أو 'a blow to his confidence' (ضربة لثقته بنفسه). بشكل غير رسمي، 'blow your chance' تعني تضيع الفرصة. لا تخلط بينها وبين 'blow up' (ينفجر) أو 'blow off' (يتجاهل).
