Definition

木や植物が花を咲かせること。人や物事が成長・発展する意味でも使われる。

名詞では主に木の花（例：桜の花）に使う。動詞としては比喩的にも使い、人の成長などを表す。詩的な表現でよく使う。

The cherry trees blossom in spring.

春になると桜の木が**咲きます**。
