Usado sobretudo em contextos informais ou legais. 'Blackmailing' é ilegal. Normalmente usa-se com 'alguém' ('Ele está a chantagear a Maria'). Não confundir com 'bullying'. Pode também referir-se a 'chantagem emocional' em relações.
