Definition

किसी समूह, स्थान या समुदाय में स्वीकृत, शामिल और जुड़ा होने का गहरा एहसास। 'Belongings' (बहुवचन) का अर्थ व्यक्तिगत सामान भी है। आधुनिक उपयोग में भावनात्मक अर्थ अधिक महत्वपूर्ण है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

दो अलग-अलग उपयोग: (1) अगणनीय संज्ञा जो घुलने-मिलने की भावनात्मक स्थिति बताती है — 'a sense of belonging'। मनोविज्ञान, शिक्षा और कार्यस्थल चर्चाओं में बहुत आम। (2) बहुवचन 'belongings' = व्यक्तिगत सामान। सामान्य संयोजन: 'sense of belonging,' 'feeling of belonging,' 'personal belongings,' 'gather your belongings.' वर्तमान कृदंत 'belonging to' का अर्थ 'का/की' (जैसे 'the book belonging to Sarah')।
