Definition

確かな証拠がなくても何かが本当だと受け入れること。また、誰かの能力や人柄を信頼することも指す。

フォーマル・カジュアル両方で使う。'believe in', 'believe that' などのパターンがある。'think'よりも確信が強い。驚きを表す 'I can't believe it!' にも使われる。
