"behave" in Japanese

Definition

特に礼儀正しいか、社会的に受け入れられる方法で行動することを指します。子どもに使われることが多いですが、誰にでも使えます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

'behave well', 'behave badly', 'behave strangely'のように副詞と使う。子どもには「Behave!」で「きちんとしなさい」という意味。『behave like...』『behave as if...』の使い方もある。名詞の'behavior'と混同しないこと。
