始まり初め

何かが始まる時点や場所のこと。出来事や話、期間の最初の部分を指します。

「at the beginning of ～」は何かの始まりを表現する時に使われます。「start」（動詞）や「origin」（起源）とは別です。「in the beginning」は物語の出だしや最初を示します。

This is the beginning of our class.

これが私たちの授業の**始まり**です。

I read the beginning of the book.

本の**始まり**を読みました。

The movie was boring at the beginning.

映画の**始まり**は退屈でした。

At the beginning of the year, everyone sets new goals.
