物乞いは、非常に貧しいために道で人々にお金や食べ物を求める人です。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

'Beggar'は中立的だが時に失礼に聞こえることもあり、'homeless person'の方が丁寧。よく使う表現に'street beggar'がある。動詞は'to beg'。物質的な要求に使う。
