甲蟲是一種有堅硬翅鞘覆蓋翅膀的昆蟲。甲蟲有許多不同種類，幾乎遍佈全球。

'Beetle' 總是名詞。常見詞組有 'dung beetle'（糞金龜）、'lady beetle'（瓢蟲）。請勿與 'bug' 搞混，'bug' 是泛指小昆蟲。
