地下室とは、建物の中で地面より下に位置するスペースです。倉庫や洗濯室、予備の部屋として使われることが多いです。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

日本語では『地下室』が一般的。地下の倉庫や書斎など多目的で使う場合にもこの言葉を使います。『ワインセラー』のような言い分けが必要な場合もあります。
