被禁止進入、加入或做某事；不被允許。也可以指帶有金屬杆的東西，比如帶欄杆的窗戶或門。

通常為正式或中性用法。“be barred from”常用於官方禁止進入或參與的場合。可以指人或物，也用於帶有鐵欄的描述。“barred”不同於“bare”（裸露的）。
