친구 사이에 주고받는 장난스럽고 유쾌한 대화나 농담.

주로 친한 사이에서 쓰이며, 너무 공식적이거나 낯선 곳에서는 적절하지 않다. 'friendly banter', 'light-hearted banter' 같은 표현에 사용된다.

We enjoyed some banter at lunch.
