‘Bank’ é um local onde as pessoas guardam dinheiro, poupam ou pedem empréstimos; também pode significar a margem de um rio ou outro corpo de água.

Em inglês britânico, 'bank' refere-se sobretudo a bancos (instituições financeiras) e também à margem do rio. Dizer 'river bank' para margem, 'at the bank' para o local financeiro. Não confundir com 'bench' (banco para sentar).
