特別な業績や優秀さに対して与えられる公式な賞や称号。

主にコンテスト、スポーツ、学業、仕事の成果などフォーマルな場面で使われる。物理的なもの（メダル、トロフィー）や名誉（称号）両方に使う。'rewards'（報酬）とは違う意味なので注意。

She won three awards for her paintings.
