為角色、工作或表演進行試鏡，通常是在評審面前展示你的表演、唱歌或跳舞等才能。

多用於表演藝術（戲劇、音樂、舞蹈）。是“audition”的過去式，可以說“auditioned for a role”（為角色試鏡）。適用於工作、角色、節目等，不適合一般職業招聘。
