Definition

屋根裏部屋は家の屋根のすぐ下にある空間や部屋で、通常は物置として使われますが、寝室やオフィスなどにも使われることがあります。

「in the attic」「attic stairs」「attic window」「finished attic」などの表現で使われます。屋根裏部屋は主に家の最上部のスペースを指し、「地下（basement）」とは異なります。
