Atlantic suele referirse al océano Atlántico o a algo relacionado con él. Se usa mucho en nombres, geografía, clima, viajes y para hablar de regiones a ambos lados del océano.

Normalmente va con mayúscula, 'Atlantic', porque es un nombre propio o parte de un nombre: 'the Atlantic Ocean', 'Atlantic coast'. Puede funcionar como sustantivo en algunos casos ('cross the Atlantic') y como adjetivo en otros ('Atlantic winds'). No se usa para el Pacífico ni para otros océanos.
