Definition

心静止（アシストール）は心臓が完全に停止し、心電図でも電気活動が全くなくなる状態です。通常は心停止を意味します。

「心静止（アシストール）」は医療用語で、主に救急や集中治療の現場で使われ、日常会話ではほぼ使われません。「心室細動」とは異なり、電気活動が全くない状態です。
