一個國家為因危險或迫害離開本國的人提供的保護，或指安全的避難所。

常在法律、政治語境中使用，常見於「尋求庇護」、「給予庇護」等搭配。歷史上有「精神病院」之意，但現已不常用甚至帶冒犯意味。
